Golden Country Kennel

We are golden retriever breeders of beautiful Golden Retriever puppies.  We think they are the best dog in the world.  Golden Retrievers are used for just about anything and they do it all well.  For years Goldens  have been used for hunting, they are great in the water and on the land.  They love to retrieve, and therefore make excellent bird dogs. They are used in field trials, for show dogs, in obedience and agility trials.  They are also used as handicap assistance dogs, as guide dogs for the blind, hearing dogs, as therapy dogs, they are also used in search & rescue, arson detection, drug detection (they have an excellent nose), many have been used in movies (ie., "Air Bud") and commercials, not to mention they make outstanding  personal companions.  There isn't anything they can't do with the proper training.  They love people, adults and children.  They make excellent family pets.  I can't think of anything bad about Goldens. 

We sell exceptional quality Golden Retriever puppies.  The parents of our puppies have wonderful pedigrees, are show quality, great health backgrounds, very trainable and wonderful dispositions.  We have heard extremely excellent reports from owners of our puppies all over the country, including a dog trainer, a dog shower, and a pet store owner.  A pet store owner in Florida bought one of Abbey's (our granddam) puppies and recommened them to someone from New York who bought one of our puppies.  A male puppy from Abby will be going to the show ring.   Three males from Pattie's last litter went to a movie star.  One of our golden retriever puppies we sold is going to be used for hunting, but most of all our puppies have gone to pet homes, and have made great companions.  So our puppies are very versatile.

 We take excellent care of our adult golden retrievers  and our puppies.  We feed our adults and puppies an exceptional non-commercial dog food. When you get your puppy at eight weeks, he or she will be partially crate trained (that means they will sleep in their crate without crying all night, and will not defecate in their crate and possibly not urinate in their crate) which makes them easier to house break.    One of our customers said their puppy was house broke in two weeks.  They will have their dew claws removed, they will have all their vaccinations, they will have been temperament tested  at seven weeks to see if they are more calm or energetic, etc.,  have their Vet exam,  health guarantee, be free of worms or parasites, be AKC registered, and have their health certificate & crate (only if flown), and pedigree.

 Please call us or email us if you would like to be on our waiting list!  Our litters sell out sometimes before they are born, so we encourage you to plan ahead and get your name on the list to ensure getting a puppy!  Right now we are only having two litters a year, so they go quickly. 

We have none available at this time.   We hope to have a December litter.  We sell limited registration pets for $1500. Puppies cannot fly even in a private plane before they are 8 weeks old, because their inner ears aren't fully developed until that time and it can do permanent damage to their ears if they fly.
